About Me
Hi there and I'm happy to tell you a bit about myself and how I became a designer. The first experience I had was in secondary school, studying Technical Graphics and D.C.G, it was here I began learning the basics of Solidworks and precision sketching and some free hand rendering. In college I began studying Games Development in IT Sligo, where I learned about sprites, pixel art as well as programming websites and began practicing with basic UX design. The course however was too focused on the engineering and coding side of the gaming industry and so I left and began studying Creative Design.
The course opened up my imagination back into art and design again, something which started to become alien to me while on Games Development. It was here I learned the fundamentals such as prototyping, mood boards, ux design and sustainability. Once I began feeling settled into my new course I knew it was important to specialise in a certain field, in this case I took an interest in UX Design, Sustainability and Accessibility. To me, products need to be dependable for their consumers while reducing the impact they have on the environment. Improving accessibility and diversfying the consumer base can benefit more people while also generating more revenue.

Outside of design I really enjoy anime and animation, with deep lore and stories to them and really entertaining characters. Binge watching netflix or gaming is high on my list too as a great past time. For activities I'll take out my skateboard and go cruising, I really enjoy the thrill that comes with being on the board and helps me feel alive, or bring my dogs for their daily jog in the countryside while listening to music. Politics and Philosophy also peaks my interest, I've spent a good while looking into both of these areas and came out as a libertarian which helps me stay independent and confident within myself. It comes back to my designs, philosophy and psychology improves my understanding of human nature which helps understand consumer needs. I hoped you enjoyed learning a bit about myself!
